General Order #1
To all Commanderies within the Jurisdiction of the Grand Commandery of Knights Templar of the State of Missouri and holding Allegiance to, the Grand Encampment of Knights Templar of the United States of America.
GREETINGS:
The proceedings of the Grand Commandery of Knights Templar of the State of Missouri have not been compiled and published in final form since 2008. As this document is the official and historical record of the Grand Commandery it is unacceptable that we have not published the official proceedings in nearly a decade. Further, Grand Master Vaught’s General Order #1 issued the 1st day of September, A.D. 2015, A.O. 897 directs:
“It is the duty of each Grand Recorder to transmit annually to the Grand Recorder of the Grand Encampment copies of all the PRINTED proceedings and of the Laws adopted by the Grand Commandery suitable for the permanent archival at the Grand Encampment Office.”
The Grand Commandery of Knights Templar of the State of Missouri will address this issue and become compliant therewith.
It therefore is my order that all documents pertaining to the preliminary proceedings for the years 2009 through 2017, inclusive, be tendered before October 20, 2017 to the Grand Historian, Sir Knight Ronald E. Wood, Jr., R.E.P.G.C.H. for compilation. Further, the Grand Recorder shall provide all such other material as is requested for the purpose of completing this task to the Grand Historian in a timely manner, no greater than three weeks from the date the request is received by the Grand Recorder.
